grammar - first conditional (=future conditions)
- We use the first conditional to describe a possible (mögliche) and certain (sichere) future action or situation!
(We can use "When" if a future action is certain)
(Present tense after if, not after will or won't!)
IF + PRESENT TENSE WILL / WON'T + INFINITIVE (without to)
If you give me some money, I'll ( I will) get some ice creams.
If you call me before six o'clock, I won't (I will not ) be at home.
If you don't work hard, you'll ( you will) fail (durchfallen) your exams.
When I arrive at the airport, I'll phone you.
- We use the first conditional to offer or suggest (vorschlagen) sth:
Examble: If you get the shopping, I'll wash the car.
- We use the first conditional to warn someone not to do sth:
Examble: If you arrive late, we'll go without you.

If the tickets ........ (sein) too expensive, we ................. (werden nicht kaufen) them.
If the tickets are too expensive, we won't buy them.
Sue's parents ................................ (werden geben) her a car if she ........................ (bestehen) the exam.
Sue's parents will give her a car if she passes the exam.

Jane will start work as a nurse when she finishes the course.
(when because she will finish the course = sie wird den Kurs beenden)

If you make any more noise, I'll call the police.
Make sentences:
