What problem does Advanced Currency Management solve?
The default setting of multi-currency which only allow one exchange rate per currency. This would cause all Opportunity records that use a currency, including closed opportunity, be updated when you update the exchange rate for that currency.
How does Advanced Currency Management work?
Add start date for exchange rate. Closed opportunity will use the close date to select which exchange rate to use.
