What does the term "play" describe in the english language?

"Play" describes how we entertain ourselves with toys, puzzles and games. It is a participatory (active) form of entertainment.

What are rules?

Rules are instruction that dictate how to play

What is a toy?

A toy or playing with a toy comes with no rules and does not come with any goals

What is a puzzle?

A puzzle have one rule that defines the goal but the rule does not define HOW to get to the goal. -> solve the puzzle

A game is a type of play activity with pretended reality in which the participants try to achieve at least one ARBRITRARY, NONTRIVIAL goal by following the rules
