1) on of the pilots-in-command shall be designated as flight leader

Overtaking

  • considered as approaching from behind (not able to see NAV lights - angle of 70°)
  • altering its heading to the right (except for sailplanes)

also should be displayed during DAY

Further: taxiing or towing & engines running: should use corresponding lights indicating that fact

Simulated instrument flights

Shall not be flown unless:

  • fully functional dual controls
  • additional qualified pilot (safety pilot) with vision to each side of A/C, or a competent observer with communication to the safety pilot

Submission of a flight plan when:

  • flight provided with air traffic control service
  • IFR flight
  • fligth into designated area defined by the competetn authority to facilitate the provision of: flight info / alerting and SAR
  • coordination with military units
  • flight across international borders
  • operated at night, if leaving vicinity of aerodrome

Deadline submission of flight plan

International - 60' before DEP

Submission during flight: 10' prior reaching intended point of entry

  3. Number and type of A/C & wake turb. cat.
  4. Equipment
  5. DEP aerodrome
  6. Est. off-block time
  7. Cruising speeds
  8. Cruising levels
  9. Route
  10. DEST / EET
  11. ALTN 
  12. Fuel endurance
  13. Total number of POB
  14. Emergency & Survival Equipment
  15. Other info

closing of a flight plan

  • shall be reported as soon as practicable

 

  • earliest possible after landing

Arrival report containing following info:

  • A/C identification
  • DEP aerodrome
  • DEST aerodrome
  • Arrival aerodrome
  • time of arrival

VMC visibility and distance from cloud minima

Special VFR

  • during day only
  • clear of cloud and surface in sight
  • flight visibility NOT less than 1500m
  • speed max 140kt IAS

ceiling is not less than 180m

VFR flights shall not be operated (height / speed)

  • not above FL 195
  • at transonic and supersonic speed

Distance from ground of VFR flight:

  • congested: min. 300m AGL above highest obstacle within a 600m radius from A/C
  • uncongested: min.  150m AGL above highes obstacle within a 150m radius from A/C

Flying on FL (which altitude)

operated above 900m AGL (3000ft) sall use FL - QNE (Expect otherwise instructed)

Minumum Levels (IFR)

over high terrain: min 600m / 2000ft above highest obstacle located in radius 8km around A/C

elsewhere: min 300m / 1000ft above highest obstacle located in radius 8km around A/C
