Name the 9 steps to design a schedules.

1. Set up diagram
2. Plot milestones
3. Identify working time
4. Forward pass
5. Illustrate work packages
6. Backward pass
7. Illustrate time buffers
8. Identify critical path

Name 3 Illustration paths for Scheduling.

• Bar Chart
• Gantt Chart
• Network diagramm

Quickly describe the Bar Chart and name some pros and cons.

+ Simple
+ Clearly arranged
+ Accessible

Quickly describe the Gantt Chart and name some pros and cons.

+ prints out the relationsips btw. work packages
+ quantifiable casual dependencies

Quickly describe the Network diagram and name some pros and cons. Name also de meaning of the different numbers. How can you calculate the critical path?

+ points complex interdependencies

-> only for complex projects!

What exactely does the "Forward pass" and "Backwards Pass" and the "Critical Path" describe?

Forward: Earliest finish day.

Backward: Latest finish day.

Critical Path: The critical path is the longest path of the network diagram. The activities in the critical path have an effect on the deadline of the project. If an activity of this path is delayed, the project will be delayed.

Name 4 different Types of costs and explain them.

Land Cost (LC)

Building Cost (BC)
Basement excavation, Structure, Finishing, nstallation: Electrical, HVAC, Sanitary, Transport,

Production Cost (PC)
= BC + Special Equipment and services + Esternal Work + Furnishing + Incidentals and dues + Fees

Investment Cost (IC)
= PC + Land cost

Name the 9 "building cost classifications" according to the Swiss Manual

BCC1: Preparatory Work
BCC2: Building
BCC3 Specials
BCC4: External Work
BCC5: Incidental Costs (beiläufige Kosten)
BCC6-8: Reserve
BCC9: Furnishings
