Für was ist das Contigency Fuel?
Für unvorhergesehenes (Wetter, Fuel-verbrauch, planned route, plannes cruising level)
For exam => the 5% Contigency of the Trip fuel is used but in real live we have 4 rules or the other rules
==> Eine von 1-4 muss erfüllt sein oder die letzte Rule
1. 5% of the planned trip fuel
2. Not less than 3% of the planned trip fuel if enroute alternate available (Full stop)
3. 20min flying with trip fuel consumption if monitoring programme is in place
4. An amount of fuel based on a statistical method approved by teh Authority => Muss eine Statistik führen
OR
An amount to fly for 5 minutes holding speed at 1500 ft above the destination aerodrome in Standard Conditions
Alternate Fuel stellt sich zusammen aus:
missed approach from MDA; fuel for climb to cruising level; top climb to top of descent; descent and expected arrival procedure; approach and landing
Wann muss man 2 Alternates haben?
Wetter one hour before and ending one hour after the ETA under Minimas OR no Meteo ==> Fuel für den weiter entfernten Alternate; No contingency for alternate fuel; Use Overhead overhead for Alternate planing
Final reseerve Fuel setzt sich zusammen aus:
turbine: 30 min and reciprocating engines: 45 min at 1500 ft at destination alternate
Additional Fuel ist für was?
Könnte eintreffen => Vorhergesehenes => Expected holdings in case of no alternate required; equipment malfunction; For engine failure; cabinet depressurisation ==> lower flight level
Minimum Additional Fuel setzt sich zusammen:
the failure at the most critical point and hold there for 15 minutes at 1500 ft and make an approach and landing ==> Ausser wenn der minimum Amount von der Fuelberechnung zu klein für das Flugplatzminimum of fuel ist
And wenn no alternate: 15 min at 1500 ft
ADDNAR was ist das und wie setzt es sich zusammen?
Additional fuel if no Alternate Required => Without alternate ==> 15 min at 1500 ft
Wann brauche ich keinen Alternate?
1. flight does not exceed 6 hours
2. Two separtes rwys at destination
3. Weather forcast 1 hour before to 1 hour after ETA:
a) ceiling at least 2000 ft or circling height + 500 ft
b) Visibilitty at least 5000 m
ADDISO was is dies und die setzt es sich zusammen?
Additional Isolated Aerodrome: instead of alternate fuel and contains already final reserve =>
reciprocating engines: 45 minutes + 15% of the flight time at cruing speed or 2h ==> Whichever is less
piston engines: 2 hours at normal cruise consumption ==> Not less than the final reserve fuel
4 Procedures for Contigency fuel Berechnung
1. Basic Procedure
2. Reduced Contigency Fuel (RCF) Procedure
3. Pre-Determined Point (PDP) Procedure
4. Isolated Aerodorme Procedure
Contigency Fuel Berechnung: 1. Basic procedure
1. 5% of the planned trip fuel
2. => 3% Regel => Kein Basis procedure
3. 20min flying with trip fuel consumption if monitoring programme is in place
4. An amount of fuel based on a statistical method approved by teh Authority => Muss eine Statistik führen
OR
An amount to fly for 5 minutes holding speed at 1500 ft above the destination aerodrome in Standard Conditions
Contigency Fuel Berechnung: 2. Reduced Contigenvy Fuel (RCF) Procedure:
Beides Berechnen und den grösseren Wert nehmen:
1. Trip fue to the Destination via teh Decision Point and Contigency fuel not less than 5% from teh Decision point to the Destination
2.Trip fuel to the ENroute Alternate via Decision point and Contigency fuel not less 3% from Departure aerodorme to the Enroute Alternate
Contigency Fuel Berechnung: Pre-Determined Point (PDP) Procedure: Part 1
The Greater value of Trip and Contigency Fuel, from the departure aerodrome to the destination aerodorme via the predermined point and: Additional fuel required but not less than:
1. Kolben(reciprocating engines): 45 min + 15 % of the time (spent at Crusing fligh) or 2 hour whichever is less
1. Turbines: 2 hours at nrmal cruise consumption above destination aerodorme
=> Cruise Consumption
Contigency Fuel Berechnung: Pre-Determined Point (PDP) Procedure: Part 2
The Greater value of Trip and Contigency Fuel, from the departure aerodrome to the destination aerodorme via the predermined point and: Additional fuel required but not less than:
2. Kolben(reciprocating engines): fuel flow for 45 min
2. Turbines: fuel flow for 30 minutes at holding speed at 1500 ft above destination alternate and not less than final reserve
==> Holding Consumption
Contigency Fuel Berechnung: 4. Isolated Aerodorme Procedure
No Destination Alternate available and ADDNAR (No Alternate Required) => The greater value of Trip and Contingency Fuel, from the departure aerodrome to the destination airdrome via the predetermined point Additional fuel if required, but not less than:
reciprocating engines: Fuel flow for 45 minutes plus 15 % of the time spent in cruise or two hours whchever is less
Piston engines: fuel to fly for two hours at normal cruise consumptio above destination aerodorme => Not less than final reserve fuel
What is the HOWGOZIT
What is teh purpose of Decision Point Procedure?
