Flashcards

How is the function of the wheel brake?

Hydraulically operating disk

Wieso ist es ein passives hydraulic system?

müssen zuerst Druck geben

How is the function of the parking brakes?

a) pull the lever downwards until it catches (Parkingbrakes setzten)

b) Brakes drücken => Brake pressure is built up by multiciple operatin of the toe brake pedals   => One way valve is closed

c) is maintained until the parking brake is released

What happens when the copilot applies brake?

hydraulic geht über die Premsen den CMD zum brake cylinder right

The harnesses

die Gurten

Without a baggage net

no baggage may be loaded

cooling gap what's that?

gap under the forward canopy

Can you operating with the cooling gap?

You can, but only on the ground

What prevents the rear door from dropping?

a gas pressure damper

Must starting the engine, the door must be

closed and latched, but not key-locked

Engine on DA 40

Austro Engine E4-A liquid cooled four-cylinder four-stroke engine with wet sump lubrication = >Luft zu Luft intercooler

Displacement E4-A

1991 cm^3

Max. Power E4-A

125.5 kW ; 165.6 DIN-HP ; 2300 RPM

Max. continuous Power E4-A

114.0 kW; 152.8 DIN-HP at 2100 RPM => LOAD 92%

Max. Overspeed Power E4-A

2500 RPM for 20 sek

Lever forward (MAX) bedeutet

full power

Lever ro rear (IDLE)

IDLE

Was für eine EInspritzung hat es beim Power plant ?

Common-rail injection => Direct in den Zylinder

What happens by a loss of oil pressure to the propeller ?

the propeller blades go to the low stop (max. RPM)

Bild vgl.

vgl Bild => Turbolader wird von den Abgasen angetrieben

Electric Master three positions:

a) OFF b) ON (Connecting battery to the power distribution (Verteilung) system c) START (Start Engine )

Engine Master

Swicht On and OFF(Engine schaltet ab) => Bei ON schaltet der Motor nicht an, erst be der Drehung des Electric Masters auf Start

Wo können wir das Fuel Von Ausxxilary Tank in den Main Tank pumpen?

vgl. Bild

ECU Voter Function

ECU = Electrical Control Unit Normal: AUTO => engine is controlled by either ECU A or ECU B (Computer not in work = HOT STANDBY) => Kann Manually switching = only in emergency

ECU TEST

pushing and holding the button until the end of the procedure => Self Test only on ground

What happens when you switch from one to another ECU Computer

a slight shake of the engine

Alternate Air  => Für was ? von wo komtm dann die Luft=

icing or other blockage of the air filter => air from the engine compartment => is located under den instrument panel on the left side of the center console

Open or closed

Open

Welches Oil wird beim propeller verwendet ?

gear box

Aus was besteht der Propeller

The propeller has a wood-composite blades with fibre-reinforced plastic coating

How you can change the blade pitch? wer macht das?

Gear pox oil is pumped into the propeller hub which leads to an increase in pitch and a lower propeller RPM => set by ECU via an electro mechanical actuator

CRS

Common Rail System

Fuel System wie viel Kapazität?

2x 15 USG => 2Y 14 USG usable = 28 USG = 95 KG

Verbrauch Fuel?

AT 75%: ca. 6.5 USG/hr

Fuel Valve 3 Positionen

NORMAL; EMERGENCY; OFF

Normally fuel is taken from the

Main tank (left Wing)

How is the fue injected?

with high pressure directly into the combustion chambers

How is the pressure inside the fuel generated?

is generated by a high pressure pump which receives fuel from two independent low pressure fuel pumps => powered electrically

What happens by the EMERGENCY FUEL Schalter

the transferring of fuel with the help of the electrically driven and engine driven fuel pumps from the auxiliary tank through the fuel return line to the to the main tank
