how to write a REVIEW
Introduction: object being reviewed / catchy or humorous comment
Background info: short basics about story / no SUMMARY / no story ending / specific vocabulary / semi-formal language
positive and negative features: not just describing / what are good/bad points / language of comparison and contrast
recommendation: overall opinion or final evaluation / do or do not recommend the reviewed object
how to write a (SEMI-) FORMAL LETTER
either dear mr/ms/mrs/name, or dears sir/madam, (comma!)
stating the circumstances: clearly say why you are writing / describe the situation
listing information/complaints/qualifications: list your information / expand with detail / remain relevant
requesting information/demanding action to be taken/exchanging contact details: polite formal language / linking words for paragraph organization / don't use forms like i'm/ don't etc
closing: i am looking forward hearigng from you soon.

introduction paragraph: link with the title / maybe question to reader / make it sound inviting / arouse the interest / address the reader, using "I" / style suited your audience-> either formal, informal or neutral

conclusion: summarize your point / give opinion / express feelings on the topic

background information: subheadings, one for each part of task / 2-3 points under heading / numbers or bullet points / no too simple language / organize it very clearly / semi-formal / factual language / report results clearly / report results impersonally / reported speech or passive / no irrelevant description or detail
make recommendations and suggestions: most important part / try to convince people / as convincing as possible / give reasons why your recomm. and sugg. should be adopted
final recommendation: summarize ideas / condense them to final reommendation
