Description I-Markets (institutional markets)

Also called B-markets --> committees making decisions. A factual situation is essential. Definite arguments like benefits and costs are critical. --> political dynamic arises from the involvement of committees. 

Description: C-Markets (end-customer or consumer market)

Purely material cost-benefit considerations are not the only decisive factors. --> Purchasing decisions are based on psychological benefits like affiliation with a group or community or a contribution to identity establishment.

Definition: Needs

Perceived shortages that the buyer craves to satisfy.

Description: benefit (regarding needs)

Results directly from its contribution to need satisfaction.

 

Description: Motives

Motives change due to external influences such as social change and internal influences such as customer experience and changed values. (Motive: status)

Descritpion: Decision process research (Research regarding purchasing decisions)

Focuses on the sequence of secondary decisions. In the strict sense, it is about the tracking of decision processes. 

Behavioral-scientific decision research (research regarding purchasing decisions)

Examines the mechanisms operating during the formation of a decision. Focus on secondary perceiption, learning and behavioral processes.

Concerned with recording individual customer behavior and with models explaining these behavioral patterns. 

Description: S-O-R model

Model to explain and analyze customer behavior. Internal and external stimuli (S) --> lead to organisms (O) preferences and basic attitudes via object variables (perception, learning, categorization) processes.
